Jedidah is a painter and sculptor whose practice extends to photography, printmaking, and 3D modeling. She examines themes of ownership, control, and identity, drawing from her lived experience and both pre- and post-colonial African art history.
Her work explores the skin as a canvas, viewing it as a site of transformation and a symbolic surface that carries identity, history, and both personal and collective narratives—blurring the boundaries between the individual and the shared experience of metaphorical ‘mark bearers’.
She is largely influenced by her Yoruba heritage and the relevance of pattern and tribal marking, as well as the work of Paula Rego, Toyin Ojih Odutola, Kerry James Marshall and Kehinde Wiley
